Nasik Round Table 107 and Nasik Ladies Circle 119 along with Western India Sports Association, Blind Welfare Association and City Centre Mall are jointly organizing Blind-man Car Rally like every year. The rally will be flagged off from Nashik City Centre Mall on 20th December 2015 at 8 am.
Round Table India is a non-political and non-sectarian organisation. It aims to promote service, fellowship and goodwill in National and International affairs. Round Table India (RTI) is around 4000 member organization of young men between the age group of 18 and 40. These are individuals who can rise above personal concerns to seek and serve the larger needs of the society. Currently, Round Table exists in almost 95 countries around the world, with India having 265 Tables located in all major cities and towns.
Round Table India’s focus on Infrastructure-Building is aimed at promoting Education for Posterity. We believe that true freedom for an individual comes only through education. Over the last few years, RTI has been successful in building 5050 classrooms. NRT 107 and RTI have taken a responsibility to build a school building for Ramshej Shishan Santha, Asewadi, Dindori, and Nasik. Currently, the school organization has very dilapidated school building. We are building a brand new school building facility with international standard size classroom, administration block, separate toilets for girls and boys, and kitchen for daily meal as phase 1. Along, with FTE project NRT 107 and NLC 119 take part in community services like blood donation camps, providing food to ashram, dental check-up, health check-ups, and so on. We organise several charity events to raise funds and one of the events.
A part of these charity events is ‘ BLIND MAN CAR RALLY ‘. This event is organized in association with Western India Sports Association – WISA. In this competition, a blind navigator navigates an abled driver. The income from this event will be donated to the school near Ramshej Fort.
WISA is working in the field of motor sports since last 15 years. WISA is also engaged in various social activities like providing Sports kits to schools from rural areas, promoting sports from these areas and so on. Hence WISA is organizing Blind Man’s Car Rally in association of NRT 107 since last 4 years.
Any common person can participate in Blind Man’s Car Rally with regular vehicle. The road book will in braille script as Navigator would be blind person. Total distance of the rally would be approximate 70 km. WISA’s marshals would be standing en route. This is a TSD format event. It will run in and around Nashik. One can register himself as participant till 18th December 2015.
For BMR – Blind Man’s Car Rally, the responsibility of contacting the visually handicapped persons and getting them at the venue, has been handled by Mr. Ramdas Jagtap of Blind Welfare Association. He has been a great help for this event always. Also Nashik Rural Police and City Police give sincere co-operation to this event. Nashik Municipal Corporation is a great help too. Without their co-operation, such events are impossible. KOSO BMR 4 is powered by Vaishanavi Electrical supported by Sony Gifts, Aress, J.P. Enterprises, Players restaurant, Car Mall, Baker’s Bounty, MS industrial product, , Ram Bandhu Masala. Therefore WISA and NRT 107 are very much thankful to them.
