Western India Sports Association is once again giving opportunity to Nashikites to enjoy the fun of TSD rally. TSD is a co-ordination between Time, speed and distance. Family members or friends can get together and participate. Rally of Nashik is scheduled on 27th November 2016. Entries are open from today.
WISA is working in the field of Motorsports since more than 15 years. Various events have been successfully organized till date. But every time WISA officials try to bring surprise factor in the rally.
Rally of Nashik comprises of 3 categories –
- Only for NIWEC members – Entry fee Rs. 2500
- Open and All ladies teams – Entry fee Rs. 3000
- Two wheelers – Entry fee Rs. 1500
Entry fee is different for each category. The categories are not based upon the type of vehicles. From Mercedes to Maruti 800 or Alto will be in same class. The average speed does not exceed 40 kmph.
WISA officials have made extra efforts to make the rally interesting. The route is completely different than the previous events. It runs through a very scenic and beautiful area around Nashik. Many competitors, though based in Nashik, would definitely visit many parts of the route for the first time.
NIWEC and York Winery are the Associate Sponsors of Rally of Nashik 2016. As the city has earned the new recognition as Wine Capital, it is obvious that the leading wine producer as York, is part of the event. They have raised the name of Nashik on International level. The bubbling of wine and the adrenaline rush of motorsport always go hand in hand. So it is very obvious that they are with WISA since many years.
NIWEC is Established in the year 1980, NIWEC is the only association which is live and running amongst the 5 institutions allotted by MIDC to promote Sports. Over the past few years various steps have been taken to ensure that the Club is Valued and cherished by all members. In 2015 NIWEC also hosted and organized the only International event in North Maharashtra i.e.: ITF Lawn Tennis 2015. Every year NIWEC conducts an Open event in various sports to recognize all sportsmen and Teams for their performances. In 2016 Cricket was also added to increase the Participation of Corporate. It is one more feather in NIWEC’s cap by joining hand with Motor sports by associating with WISA for zonal event.
Nashik City Police and Rural Police, simultaneously Nashik Municipal Corporation have been always supportive for WISA’s events. Without their co-operation we cannot run successful competition. Just like our sponsors, The Government Institutions are integral part of the rally.
What one needs to do for participation –
- Any road legal vehicle is permitted.
- The driver should hold valid driving license.
- Co-driver / Navigator can be anyone above 12 years of age (subject to he/she does not drive).
- Rally Cover Insurance along with Regular insurance of the vehicle.
- One can visit WISA’s website and download the entry form. Or visit the office.
- Last date to register is 24th November 2016 by 7 pm.
